Rock En Seine Does 40,000

Salomon Hazot’s Rock En Seine closed the French major festival season by pulling 40,000 per day to Paris’s horse racing track at Saint-Cloud Aug. 23-25.

The 11-year-old festival has often topped 30,000 per day but this year set a new record. “It was bigger than ever, great fun and great bands,” was Hazot’s verdict on the festival.

The acts included Paul Kalkbrenner, Franz Ferdinand, Alt-J, Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala, Alex Hepburn, Tomahawk, Johnny Marr, and Nine Inch Nails.
