The Prodigy’s Maxim On The Road

The Prodigy’s Maxim will take a break later this month from working in the studio with Liam Howlett and Keith Flint on the English group’s new album to make his DJ debut in the U.S. The outing includes an appearance at New Orleans’ Voodoo Experience.

Prodigy’s next LP is set for release in 2014. Maxim has also been busy writing original material and re-mixing other acts. Check out his exclusive U.S. promo DJ mix, available as a free download, below.

Maxim said, “DJing for me is a completely fresh challenge – it gives me the opportunity to play music I’m into. I love the spontaneity, its freestyle form.”

His DJ gigs in the U.S. will feature a blend of original tracks and “familiar music that spans electronic dance, grime, hip-hop, DnB and rock genres.” He’ll be accompanied on the excursion by MC Cianna Blaze.

“Vocals have been so much a part of my life, that I thought it would be a cool idea to have an MC join me on stage to be my voice,” Maxim added.
