Prince’s Pajama Dance Party
The show, dubbed “The Breakfast Experience Pajama Dance Party,” takes place Saturday, Oct. 19, two weeks after Prince hosted his “oCtOBer sUrpRISE” at Paisley Park Studios Chanhassen, Minn.
The “oCtOBer sUrpRISE” featured performances from his new all-female band, 3rd Eye Girl, as well as his former, longtime backing group, The New Power Generation. Although Prince ended up taking the stage at the “oCtOBer sUrpRISE,” the video promoting the Oct. 5 event didn’t indicate the Purple One would be there.
As for this weekend’s party, it’s once again not clear whether Prince will perform. The poster for the show simply lists 3rd Eye Girl.
The Twitter account shared by Prince and 3rd Eye Girl hasn’t revealed any details other than posting a link to the poster along with a tweet saying, “hUNGRy?”
All we can tell you is that doors open at 2 a.m. in the wee hours of Saturday. The plan is to “party til the sun comes up!”
And just like the “oCtOBer sUrpRISE,” there is a $50 “donation” to get in, rather than a typical ticket. Although the poster doesn’t mention Prince’s signature concert restrictions, it’s probably safe to say cameras, audio recorders or cell phones are not going to be allowed at the party.
The Breakfast Experience Pajama Dance Party takes its name from Prince’s new song “Breakfast Can Wait.” Check out the video below, along with a 30-second clip 3rd Eye Girl posted a few days ago called “The Breakfast Experience.”
