Lily Allen Returns To The Stage

Nearly two months after Lily Allen announced she was reclaiming her maiden name and “coming back,” the British singer has booked a gig next month as Robbie Williams’ special guest. Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog will also be there.

The show is set for Nov. 8 at the London Palladium. Along with Allen and your favorite Muppets, Rufus Wainwright will also take the stage.

Allen and Wainwright teamed up with Williams for a duet on his new album, Swings Both Ways. Due out Nov. 18, the LP also includes duets with Michael Bublé, Kelly Clarkson and Olly Murs. Wonder if any of the other acts will pop in as one of the special guests?

Either way, Miss Piggy is excited about the show, which is being filmed for broadcast on BBC One.

“Moi is always thrilled to perform at the Palladium, no matter who I have to share the stage with,” Miss Piggy said. “But being up there with moi’s dear friend Robbie Williams and Kermie will make this night even more spectacular!”

NME.com points out that Allen’s most recent public performance was summer 2012 with Professor Green at one of The Stone Roses’ Heaton Park shows in Manchester, U.K. In February she performed her hit “Smile” at an exclusive Paris Fashion Week event.

After announcing in August 2012 that any new music she puts out in the future would be under her married name of “Lily Rose Cooper,” she tweeted this past August, “Hello, I’m Lily Allen … and, I’m coming, back, bitches.”

A small number of tickets for “Robbie Williams: One Night At The Palladium” go on sale Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time.
