Garth Brooks’ Final Wynn Gig Is A Win For TV Viewers

If you’ve never been able to make it to Las Vegas for one of Garth Brooks’ one-man gigs, the country legend will bring the show to you. His final night at The Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas will air live on network TV in November.

Actually fans living on the East Coast will see it in real time when CBS telecasts “Garth Brooks, Live From Las Vegas” Nov. 29 at 9 p.m. Viewers in other time zones will have to settle for a delayed broadcast. But, hey, it’s still Garth and his guitar. What better way could you spend the evening of Black Friday after competing against the Christmas mobs for the best retail deals?

The show will feature Brooks playing his guitar and talking about his experiences growing up listening to artists ranging from Merle Haggard and George Jones to Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Seger, Otis Redding, George Strait and James Taylor, and how they influenced his music.

“Blame it all on my roots,” Brooks said. “This is the soundtrack of my life. Growing up the last of six kids, music was the life blood of our family and as you can imagine, mom, dad, and each kid had his or her own favorite stuff and it all funneled down to me.”

Brooks began his Vegas run in 2009 and today’s announcement will probably add more fuel to the rumor fires about his returning to touring in 2014. Earlier this month the country star emailed fans saying, “The sevens have aligned. It has begun … Thank you for believing…love, g.”
