Village Sounds Opens Singapore Office
Sydney-based Village Sounds opened an office in Singapore, Oct. 28, with Melissa Yong as its exclusive agent.
Singapore-born Yong spent eight years in Australia before returning to Asia to run music news site Other Sounds.

Evan Davis, Sydney-based co-director and agent, explained, “We felt it important to have a presence in Asia, given it’s such a growing market on the live music scene around the world.
“We felt Melissa was a great fit to launch the agency in Asia, given her understanding of Australian bands and the Asian touring market.”
First act to tour under the deal is Brisbane’s Last Dinosaurs, which will do four club and festival shows in Singapore, Bangkok, Manila and Kuala Lumpur Nov. 2-23.
