Lead NZ Music Awards Noms

Drum-and-bass band Shapeshifter, R&B singer Aaradhna and global pop princess Lorde were multi-nominee finalists of the 48th annual Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.

Shapeshifter and Aaradhna have five nods each, with both up for album of the year, single of the year and the people’s choice award.

Lorde is up for single for her hit “Royals,” breakthrough artist of the year, and people’s Choice.

The winner of best group will be Fat Freddy’s Drop, Shapeshifter or The Phoenix Foundation.

The awards ceremony is at Auckland’s Vector Arena Nov. 21.
