Presswell Shuffles Ticketmaster

Newly appointed Ticketmaster UK managing director Simon Presswell has taken only three months to conduct a strategic review of the company and make a few changes at the top.

Preswell, who took up his position at Ticketmaster in July, has created some new roles and brought in new people to fill them, including hiring former SkyIQ projects and operations manager Nick Griffiths as sales operations director.

Tommy Tyekiff, a live entertainment investment manager at Ingenious Media, will move to Ticketmaster in the new year as vice president responsible for business transformation.

The marketing department gains Nihal Pekbeken, who joins as the new vice president of marketing and will oversee both the business to consumer as well as business-to-business marketing and brand development.

Pekbeken was vice president of global marketing and creative services at NBC Universal International Networks.

“We have brought in top talent with extensive technology and media experience, which will further strengthen our business,” Presswell explained as the changes were announced. “My key focus is to ensure that we consistently deliver the very best service for our clients and the most fan-friendly experience for our customers.”

Current Ticketmaster UK marketing director Dan Pearce has been promoted to vice president of marketing and business development at Ticketmaster Resale International.

Andrew Parsons, vice president of sales, will take on the newly created role of vice president of music and comedy, while client services vice president Doug Smith will get extra responsibility for the operations team.
