‘Just for Laughs’ Takes A Break
The annual “Just For Laughs Chicago” comedy festival, a summer fixture since 2009, will not take place in 2014.
“We’ve decided to take a year off to rethink the festival model, to adjust to the current marketplace,” Just For Laughs CEO Bruce Hill told the Chicago Tribune.
Hill said a similar adjustment was made to the Toronto version of the festival.

Event sponsor TBS previously aired the Chicago Theatre shows as specials but has since stopped.
