Pixies In Israel
Looks as if Pixies fans in Israel will get a second chance to see the band. Having canceled an appearance in the country three years ago, the alternative rock band is now booked for to appear at a festival in Tel Aviv in June.

The Pixies were just one of the acts to cancel concerts in Israel in 2010. Scheduled to play the Pic.Nic Festival in Tel Aviv that year, the band scratched the date and attributed “events beyond all our control” as the reason for the change of plans.
At that time other acts, such as Roger Waters and Elvis Costello, also canceled shows scheduled in Israel in protest of the country’s policies toward Palestinians.
But now the Pixies has Tel Aviv on its schedule once more, sharing the bill with Soundgarden on a new festival scheduled for June 17-18 at the city’s Bloomfield Stadium. Visit PixiesMusic.com for more information.
