Your Predictions For 2014?

Take a deep long look into your crystal ball and tell us what’s in store for the 2014 music universe.  Do you forecast ticket prices to fall, major acts playing small, intimate venues and front row tickets for each and every fan?  Or do you predict something a little less optimistic?

This is the time when many music pundits deliver their predictions for the coming year.  Fortunately for them few people bookmark their prophecies or bother to compare their prognostications for accuracy 365 days later.  If they did, they’d find those predictions to be filled with artists they haven’t heard of, trends that never took off and albums that never landed on the charts.

But why should writers have all the fun? We’re sure you have some predictions of your own.  Maybe your look into the future includes Iggy Pop dueting with Taylor Swift, Madison Square Garden installing a retractable roof or Ticketmaster launching Free Ticket Tuesdays.  Whatever the prediction, regardless of how outlandish or ridiculous, we think it’s important for you to share it with the world.  And, of course, to fill up the comment thread below.

So lay it on us!  Do you predict that Beyoncé will quit music to become a roller derby queen?  Do you forecast that Bruce Springsteen will become a spokesman for JP Morgan, that Keith Richards will launch a string of health clubs or that Kanye West will win the Nobel Peace Prize?  It’s all food for thought in the new year.  That is, as long as you post it below.
