Switzerland’s Open-Air St Gallen festival (June 26-29) smashed records by selling out in a day. That beats last year, which sold out six months in advance.
About 10,000 three-day tickers were shifted within two hours of the onsale. By mid-afternoon, that figure had doubled. By early evening, organisers were announcing a sellout.
“We had some expectations that the sales would be strong after three sold-out editions, but were still surprised by the enormous demand,” said festival booker Christof Huber. “Now, it’s our job to deliver another great festival.”
The bill includes The Black Keys, Imagine Dragons, London Grammar and Flogging Molly as well as top German bands Seeed and Sportfreunde Stiller.
