Measles Outbreak From Rap Contest

Those competing in the Asia-Pacific finale of the World Supremacy Battleground hip-hop competition at Sydney’s Olympic Park scored some spots – but not the ones they were hoping for.

A contestant from the Philippines infected 14 others with measles.

The latest victim was diagnosed Jan. 9 in Canberra, marking the disease’s first emergence in that city since 2011.

The four New Zealand contestants returned home and infected six others.
