Vicksburg Facility Revamp

The 2,400-capacity  in Vicksburg, Miss., will undergo some much-needed repairs and renovations as part of the city’s capital improvement plan.

The 17-year-old facility, operated by VenuWorks, is in need of a new roof, heat and air conditioning, sound and lighting at an estimated cost of $531,000.

“There’re some things that definitely need to be pushed to the front burner,” alderman Michael Mayfield told the Vicksburg Post. “Especially when you have a roof leaking, windows where the vacuum seal is gone and you have water leaking in your hall or down on your concert floor.”

The city attorney and city accounting director are reportedly reviewing the capital improvement list.
