She certainly has the catalog for a Vegas run.  The British-born Australian singer pretty much owned pop radio in the 1970s and early ’80s with hits like “Have You Neverr Been Mellow,” “Let Me Be There” and “Physical.”  Add that to songs from the movie “Grease” in which she starred with John Travolta and she’ll have more than enough tunes to entertain the fans.  In fact, her biggest challenge may be deciding which songs to leave out of the set.

“I am thrilled to be able to call Las Vegas home for a while,” Newton-John said in a posting on her website.  “I have performed here many times through the years and have had nothing but wonderful memories and I look forward to even more fun at the Flamingo.

“I am especially thrilled that a portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre.”

Backed by an eight-piece band, Newton-John begins her Vegas residency in the spring, playing the Donny & Marie Showroom April 8-12.  Other dates are May 6-10 & 27-31, July 1-5 & 29-31 and August 1-2, 5-9, 12-16, 19-23 & 26-30.

A presale for members of Caesar Entertainment’s Total Rewards program begins Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. and runs until Feb. 6 at 10 p.m.  General onsales begin Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. All times PST.  Visit OliviaNewton-John.com for more information.
