David Crosby Reschedules Shows
While many folks celebrated Valentine’s Day with boxes of chocolate delights and romantic dinners, for David Crosby it meant undergoing a cardiac catheterization and angiogram. The procedure revealed that Crosby’s left anterior coronary artery was 90 percent blocked. To alleviate the condition, doctors placed two stents to provide blood flow to his heart.
Although Crosby did not experience a heart attack, doctors believe his condition would have led to one if left untreated.
The medical interruption has led to a few changes in Crosby’s touring schedule. Early February shows slated for Vienna, Va., at The Barns At Wolftrap have been moved with Feb. 3 rescheduled for March 25 and Feb. 4 now set for March 16. His two nights at Chicago’s City Winery originally planned for Feb. 8-9 are now scheduled for July 20-21.
Of Crosby’s West Coast gigs, his two shows at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall scheduled for Feb. 20-21 have been moved to April 20-21. His five sold-out appearances in West Hollywood at The Troubadour that were to take place Feb. 23-25 and 27-28 will be rescheduled for April with dates to be announced.
“I am very glad that I listened to my doctors and my family,” Crosby said. “It seems I am once again a very lucky man. I’m sorry to have to move the dates, but I promise the music will be good when we do play them.”
But don’t go fretting about the upcoming Crosby, Stills & Nash tour beginning March 4 in Richmond, Va. Word from Crosby’s camp is that CSN’s tour will take place as planned. Visit DavidCrosby.com for more information.
