Dave Davies will play a gig in London in April, his first date in the U.K. in 13 years. Could this be a prelude to a Kinks reunion?

The April 11 show at Barbican Hall has folks taking notice.  With 2014 marking the 50th anniversary of The Kinks, fans are hoping that Dave and his brother Ray just might be able to set aside differences and perform together onstage once again. Adding fuel to the fire, when recently interviewed by Uncut magazine, the younger Davies brother said a reunion is “as close as it’s ever been to happening.”

“I said to Ray I thought it’d be a great shame if we don’t try and do something,” Dave said.  “I don’t think our love has diminished.  I think the stage-play has played itself out a bit, the pretence and the acting.  I think it’s time reality took over, and started directing the last years of … whatever it is.  It’s like Cain and Abel.”

So we’ll see what happens.  Right now it’s just Dave in London in April. Tickets go on sale Feb. 28.  Click here for more info.
