Luhrmann Taps ‘Strictly Ballroom’ Talent

Australian director Baz Luhrmann revealed he and co-writer Craig Pearce worked with U.S.-based, highly decorated composers David Foster and Dianne Warren to bring “Strictly Ballroom: The Musical” to life.

The duo also worked with Australian writers Sia Furler, Elliott Wheeler and Eddie Perfect.

Produced in Australia by Global Creatures and Bazmark, the musical has its world premiere at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre April 12.
