Guilty Plea in Buffett Concert Attack

A New Jersey man pleaded guilty March 10 to manslaughter charges stemming from the death of an acquaintance outside a Jimmy Buffett concert in 2012. Matthew Shields is expected to receive four years in prison when sentenced May 16.

Shields admitted to punching Ryan Cole in the back of the head as Cole tailgated with friends in the parking lot of the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, N.J, prior to the Aug. 28 concert.

Cole fell and hit his head on the pavement and later died of his injuries.
