Cork Opera House Bomb Hoax

A March 14 call to police saying there was a bomb in Cork Opera House turned out to be a hoax.

The show was expected to draw 800 people. Police from the city’s Anglesea St. Garda Station, which received the call, rushed to the scene and met with theatre management during the search.

Police are satisfied the call was a hoax and are investigating its source.
