Kate Bush To Play Live Again
The dates are part of what’s being called Bush’s Before the Dawn series. At press time, the Apollo shows were the only ones announced.
In 1979 Bush, who’s become something of a recluse, spent six weeks on the road around the UK and Europe.
“It was enormously enjoyable. But physically it was absolutely exhausting,” she told Mojo magazine in 2011. “I still don’t give up hope completely that I’ll be able to do some live work,” she added. “But it’s certainly not in the picture at the moment because I just don’t quite know how that would work with how my life is now.”
Bush, whose hits include “Wuthering Heights” and “Hounds Of Love,” announced the shows on her website March 20.
“I am delighted to announce that we will be performing some live shows this coming August and September,” she said. “I hope you will be able to join us and I look forward to seeing you there.”
Since 1979, the iconic singer has made isolated appearances including a Prince’s Trust concert in 1982, a 1986 Comic Relief show, and a year later performing “Running Up That Hill” at The Secret Policeman’s Third Ball.
