Michael McDonald & Toto Set Co-Headline Dates
Hardly strangers to each other, Toto’s Dave Paich arranged horns and strings on The Doobie Brothers’ Livin’ On The Fault Line LP and members Steve Lukather and Porcaro brothers Mike and Jeff appeared on the singer’s 1982 album If That’s What It Takes. McDonald returned the favor in 1986 when he guested on Toto’s “I’ll Be Over You” which appeared on the band’s Fahrenheit album. In other words, there’s a history.
“I so look forward to the dates I’ll play with Toto this summer,” McDonald said. “Not only because we’re old friends but also because they’re one of the most talented and significant American bands.”
