The rapper formerly known as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy and Sean Combs, appears to once again be embracing the name Puff Daddy.
USA Today points out that a trailer for his new single, “Big Homie,” credits Combs as Puff Daddy, the name he used for his debut studio album in 1997.
The rapper initially switched his stage name to P. Diddy in 2001 for a fresh start after being acquitted on charges of gun possession and bribery, according to BBC News.
He is reportedly working on a new album called MMM as the follow-up to 2010’s Last Train To Paris.
Twin Towers Alive, which was scheduled to coincide with Malaysia’s Formula One Grand Prix, has called off its March 28-29 concert at Kuala Lumpur City Centre featuring Christina Aguilera, Rain and Craig David.
The announcement was made following Tuesday’s statement from Malaysia Airlines saying that based on new evidence about the search for flight MH370, “we must accept the painful reality that the aircraft is now lost and that none of the passengers or crew on board survived.”
Concert sponsor Petronas posted its own statement on Facebook earlier today.
“It is truly a tragedy and we are deeply saddened about the crew and passengers of flight #MH370. As the sponsor of Twin Towers Alive 2014, we have concluded with event organizer Live At Work Sdn Bhd and other fellow sponsors to cancel TTA 2014 as a sign of respect to the families & next-of-kin of the crew and passengers of flight MH370. Our deepest condolences to them. We will honor our obligation to ensure all related parties impacted by this cancellation be treated fairly.
“We will soon provide an email address for all those with FanZone enquiries. We appreciate your patience very much.”
