Bertelsmann Enjoys Its Infographics
The German media giant is clearly enjoying what it calls its “infographics.” The report also points out that it would take more than seven years to listen to all the songs managed by BMG, the group’s music rights arm.
“Over the past year, Bertelsmann has made impressive progress in its four strategic priorities of strengthening the core, digital transformation, developing growth platforms and expanding in growth regions,” says Bertelsmann corporate communications vice president Karin Schlautmann.
In a bid to draw attention to the annual report “to the widest possible public,” Bertelsmann’s making it available in print form, as an interactive online version, and as an app. It’s also presenting its content on its social media platforms and on media walls at the company’s various sites.
In 2013, the company’s businesses, with their more than 111,000 employees, generated revenue of $22.7 billion.
The money comes from having interests in television’s RTL Group, book publisher Penguin Random House, magazine publishing Gruner + Jahr, services company Arvato and Be Printers, which covers some 50 countries.
