Guvernment Shutdown

The Guvernment nightclub in Toronto, Ontario, which opened in 1996, is expected to shutter Jan. 31, 2015.

Club promoter Ink Entertainment said it will say goodbye to the venue with a series of farewell performances.

Over the years, The Guvernment has hosted acts like Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones, Deadmau5, Bob Dylan, Coldplay and Prince.

Ink will remain active in the market, continuing to promote shows at venues like Sound Academy and Tattoo Queen West.
