It will be the official ticketing partner for the battle between the 16 best ice hockey nations, which will be settled in Paris and in Cologne, Germany.
The tournament will have 64 matches May 5-17, 2017, and is likely to attract 1 million spectators.
Since raking in euro 5 million from the 2006 World Cup soccer tournament, the Bremen-based firm has regularly bid for sports competitions.
More recently it handled the tickets for the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Eric Ropert, deputy general secretary and managing director of the Fédération Française de Hockey, said Eventim won over organisers with its “powerful technological tools, combined with considerable marketing expertise and international experience.”
