Industry Noize: Agent/Manager Bruce Nichols Dies

Bruce Nichols, 74, longtime agent and manager, died at his home from cancer in Wildwood, N.J., May 16.

Nichols’ career began in 1963 and he worked for several large agencies from William Morris to Famous Artists, booking acts mostly on the East Coast.

Nichols and his wife, Judi, opened Central Entertainment Services in 1993, booking and managing contemporary jazz acts like Kim Waters, Chuck Loeb, Steve Cole and Brian Bromberg.

Nichols retired in 2012 a few months before being diagnosed with cancer, Judi told Pollstar.
