Come Together, Spin Off Festivals Axed
Sydney hip-hop festival Come Together was axed due to poor ticket sales 10 days before it was to stage its 11th edition.
Sydney event canceled.
The event was to happen June 7 at Luna Park with a bill including Kerser, Funkoars, Jackie Onassis, Remi and Citizen Kay. Promoters LPS said that Come Together, “which has provided many developing acts the opportunity to play the big stage and help build their fan base” would return “bigger and better” in 2015.
Adelaide’s Spin Off, a sister event to Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass, has lost its spin this year.
It was set up two years ago by Splendour co-promoter Paul Piticco and Adelaide-based 5/4 Entertainment to showcase some Splendour acts.
A joint statement cited “scheduling conflicts and international demands on artists” and declared it might return in 2015.
