LN Firm On Monae Refund

Ticket buyers are threatening to complain to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission watchdog over a 50 percent offer Live Nation offered for a canceled Janelle Monae appearance May 17 show at the .

’s performance, the audience was told Monae was ill, and fans were invited to attend their second Melbourne show, on May 23. But that date, along with the rest of the tour, was canceled.

Live Nation emailed ticketholders to advise they would get a 50 percent refund of the A$100 ($93) tickets.

Comments on Live Nation and Ticketmaster websites demanded a full refund.

One fan called the decision “completely unacceptable, given that only 1 of the publicised three sets was played.”

The Justice Department told The Age paper patrons could apply for a full refund through Consumer Affairs Victoria.
