Courtney Love Announces Aussie Dates

“All my Aussie friends and Lovers, It’s been a long time! I’m coming to see you!” Courtney Love tweeted last night. After playing the U.K. earlier this year, the Hole frontwoman is continuing her international travels with a summer trip to Australia.

Although, technically, she’ll actually be downunder during the country’s winter season.

Aussie music site Tone Deaf points out that fans have been waiting for Love to plan another excursion to Australia since Hole called off its appearance on the 2012 Soundwave festival. The band allegedly backed out of Soundwave because Limp Bizkit had a higher listing on the bill.

Well, whatever happened that’s all in the past and now Love is heading to Australia on her own come August with some new tunes. The spring she released the singles “You Know My Name” and “Wedding Day.”

In May Love premiered the music video for “You Know My Name” and wrote, “I’m so excited to be getting back to my rocker roots and doing what I love. I had so much fun making it and I hope you all enjoy it!”
