Woodstock At 50

Woodstock promoter Michael Lang is said to be mulling over plans and locations for a 50th anniversary concert in 2019 to commemorate the historic “three days of peace and music” at Max Yasgur’s farm near Bethel, N.Y. 

“We’re starting to think about it now,” Lang told Rolling Stone. Given the anniversary is five years out, Lang offered no details other than that he’s thinking about it.

There have been other attempts to replicate Woodstock since the 1969 original, which drew more than 400,000 music fans to Bethel for a show that featured more than 30 artists, including historic debuts of Santana and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

Woodstock 1994 was followed by a disastrous 30th anniversary concert in 1999. Woodstock ’79 was an indoor event at .
