Honda Bets On Music Marketing

Honda has joined forces with Live Nation, Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio and others to launch a branded stage and corresponding YouTube channel. 

Honda Stage will make appearances this summer at custom events produced by Live Nation plus festivals including Governors Ball in New York, Austin City Limits Music Festival and Music Midtown in Atlanta.

The launch will also feature a Honda Stage at the iHeartRadio Theater L.A. to be promoted via Clear Channel radio stations and online, and a Honda Stage at REVOLT Studios Hollywood featuring live interviews and in-studio performances.

“Breaking through the clutter and reaching younger buyers through traditional advertising is proving more and more difficult in this always-on, digital generation,” said Tom Peyton, assistant VP of advertising and marketing for Honda. “Honda is making an even bigger investment in music than ever before. To bring this type of experience to music lovers we had to assemble a program from scratch bringing together both live and online elements that can only be found through Honda Stage.”

The company’s Honda Civic Tour continues for its 13th year, this summer featuring GrouplovePortugal. The ManAmerican Authors, and . Honda Stage’s You Tube channel will feature live and online music programming and performances, behind-the-scenes content and artist interviews, Honda said.
