Todd Snider’s Two Anniversaries

Todd Snider announces his fall tour as he reveals details regarding the anniversaries of two of his critically acclaimed albums.  Has it really been 20 years since “Songs For The Daily Planet” was released?

Snider’s 1994 debut album definitely made the rounds here at Pollstar’s Fresno HQ.  Seemed as if at any given moment one could walk through our miles of cube farms and work stations and hear songs such as “Easy Money,” “Alright Guy” and “My Generation (Part 2)” blasting out of desktop stereos.

After 10 years and five more albums, Snider hit another milestone when he released is critically acclaimed East Nashville Skyline long player.  Now the singer / songwriter is commemorating the anniversaries by going back into the studio and re-cutting both discs for re-issues to be released later this year.  Snider is also working on an album of new material that is tentatively scheduled to drop sometime during the first quarter of 2015.

But not all of Snider’s undertakings are for the ears.  His first book – “I Never Met A Story I Didn’t Like: Mostly True Tall Tales” – was released in April.

The troubadour has a few scattered dates throughout the summer, including a July 11 gig at “Blissfest” in Harbor Springs, Mich., two nights in Mill Valley, Calif., Aug. 8-9, and a stop at Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield, Wis.
