Lily Allen Sued For £100,000

Lily Allen is being sued for more than £100,000 ($161,000) by the head of EC1 Music Agency, who says Allen broke a contract when joining Creative Artists Agency.

Alex Nightingale, head of EC1 and son of Radio 1 DJ Annie Nightingale, has filed papers in the High Court claiming CAA told Allen that it could “generate higher gross fees” for her comeback tour, according to the Daily Mail.

The UK paper said Nightingale booked venues for 2014 and 2015, but then Allen notified the company that she was moving to CAA.

It also said Nightingale is arguing that he is entitled to compensation for the “very large amount” of work carried out, adding there was no break clause in their agreement.

A spokesman for Allen told the Mail she will be “defending the matter vigorously.”
