Ticketmaster Buys Eventjoy
Live Nation announced Sept. 11 Ticketmaster has acquired mobile-based, DIY ticketing platform Eventjoy.
Along with ticketing services, Eventjoy provides Live Nation and other promoters that use Ticketmaster with social marketing, analytics and customer engagement tools.
“We’re always looking to expand Ticketmaster into ticketing segments that we believe our leading brand and expertise can have a meaningful impact,” Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino said.
Ticketmaster’s portfolio of acquisitions also includes TicketWeb (for clubs), Ticketstoday (for festivals) and Venuemaster (for large-scale tournaments). Financial details were not disclosed.
