Former Supermarket VP Sentenced

A U.S. District judge in Ohio has sentenced the former VP for a supermarket chain who sold more than $1.2 million in concert tickets for personal gain to three years in prison.

Prosecutors said John Moritz arranged for the A&P supermarket chain to purchase event tickets for business purposes and employees, then sold the tickets and pocketed the proceeds.

Moritz was ordered to pay $3.2 million in restitution.

He pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud earlier this year.
