Machine Head Nixes North American Tour

Saying the band needs more time to work on the new album, Machine Head has scratched its upcoming tour of North America scheduled to begin later this month.

The fall road trip across the continent was supposed to launch Sept. 27 in Sparks, Nev., and include stops in Dallas, Philadelphia, Orlando, Toronto, Montreal and New York before wrapping in Hollywood Nov. 1.

But those dates are no longer on the books as the metal group tries to take care of some unfinished biz regarding its upcoming Bloodstone & Diamonds LP.

“We feel this record is a milestone, we have something truly special here, but getting there has been a challenge,” the band said in a statement.  “Our vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn just returned from a press tour where he was playing rough mixes and incomplete versions of songs for the press just to try and keep everything on time for our November release date.”

Blood & Diamonds is scheduled to drop Nov. 7 in Europe and Nov. 10 in the U.S. and U.K.  Refunds for the North America tour are available at points of purchase.

Although Machine Head has dropped North America from its remaining 2014 tour plans, the band will tour Europe as planned, beginning in November.  Expect the band to tour North America in early 2014.  Visit MachineHead1.com for more information.
