AC/DC’s Malcolm Young Reportedly Suffering From Dementia

Media reports coming out of Australia indicate AC/DC co-founder Malcolm Young is in a nursing home being treated for dementia.

Young is in a “full-time nursing home facility” in eastern Sydney “specializing in dementia,” reports the Sydney Morning Herald citing sources “connected to the Young family.”

Earlier this year AC/DC announced that undisclosed health issues had forced Young to take a break from the band.  The band announced his retirement earlier this week, saying guitarist Stevie Young, the nephew of founders Malcom and Angus Young, will accompany the band on its 2015 world tour.
