83 Arrests At Defqon.1

NSW police arrested 83 revelers at the Defqon.1 EDM festival at Sydney’s International Regatta Centre Sept. 20. The Australian festival drew almost 20,000. 

Authorities said seven were hospitalized and 350 needed medical treatment for drug and heat-related illnesses. Following a drug overdose death and 14 hospitalisations at last year’s event, police doubled their presence this year to 200 officers, who conducted 372 searches with drug-sniffing dogs.

Headliners at this year’s fest included Noisecontrollers, Wildstylez, Zatox, and Donkey Rollers Live.
