Scott Ian Is ‘Speaking Words’ On West Coast

Scott Ian has stories to tell about his decades in Anthrax. The only founding member still in the band, Ian has combined a book release party, autograph session and a “Speaking Words” performance into one hellacious evening at a Los Angeles nightclub.  Details after the jump.

Ian will be celebrating the release of “I’m The Man: The Story Of That Guy From Anthrax” at the Largo in Los Angeles Oct. 10.

Ian’s performance will herald the upcoming arrival of Swearing Words In Glasgow, his upcoming “Speaking Words” tour DVD dropping Nov. 13 via Megaforce Records.

Now Ian is looking forward to presenting his “Speaking Words” act at a Southern California venue where he has often been a member of the audience.

“This is my first West Coast talking show and it’s at the mecca for comedy in LA, Largo,” Ian said.  “I’ve been going to shows at Largo since the late ’90s where I’d see people like Patton Oswalt, Louis CK, David Cross, Bob Odenkirk, Brian Posehn, Sarah Silverman, Zach Galifianakis, and Tenacious D before they were famous.  They all still go back there to do shows and I am honored, excited and shitting myself to be doing my show on that stage.”
