Benny Collins

Benny Collins, longtime tour manager for Michael Jackson, will be honored with the Parnelli Lifetime Achievement Award in Las Vegas Nov. 22.

The gala and awards show will be held at the MGM Grand Conference Center with Fee Waybill hosting.

Collins began as a drum tech before becoming a tour manager, working with David Bowie, then Jackson during the ’90s.

Also up for lifetime awards are lighting designer Howard Ungerleider and sound engineer Bob Goldstein.

Katy Perry‘s tour is up for seven awards including tour of the year.

Also in that category are One Direction, Jay Z / Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift.
