Paradigm Signs DMAs, Little May

Paradigm Talent signed two Sydney buzz bands, DMAs and Little May, for North America. Both will be booked by Kevin French, a regular visitor to Australia as a speaker at the Big Sound conference.

Both acts are playing the U.S. through October, with stops at CMJ, as well as dates in Europe and the UK.

DMAs is made up of singer-songwriters Johnny Took, Tommy O’Dell and Matt Mason.

The group was signed this February on the strength of its demos even before playing live.

Within weeks DMAs was on national radio and inked with Mermaid Avenue/Mom & Pop Records for the U.S. and Partisan Records for Europe.

DMAs plays the U.S., Europe and the UK through October.

All-female indie folk trio Little May’s similar rapid ascent came after being championed by the influential triple j radio network.

Little May built up a live following through festivals and the group’s three singles got 1 million Soundcloud plays. Little May announced Oct. 6 record deals with Island Records for Europe.UK and Capitol for North America.
