Sol3 Mio: Back In Home Market

International New Zealand-based opera trio Sol3 Mio will focus on the home market over the next few months.

Civic Events booked an outdoor appearance in Auckland at Villa Maria Winery Dec. 21 for a Christmas concert.

The trio does eight theatres and arenas Feb. 23 to March 5. Sol3 Mio’s self-titled debut album, released November 2013, spent 16 weeks atop the New Zealand charts. It was the year’s best-performing local album, outselling Lorde.

Civic Events co-promoter Campbell Smith said, “Sol3 Mio is a phenomenon. In all my years of promoting tours and shows, I have never experienced anything quite like it. Their shows are powerful, moving, mesmerizing and hilarious, often all at the same time.”
