Eurosonic Goes Epic
Next year’s Eurosonic-Noorderslag will be bolstered by a new forum that will run in parallel to the main conference and focus on production innovation.
The European Production Innovation Conference & Fair, already shortened to EPIC, will consist of three days of discussions, presentations of products, ideas and new ways to implement them at live music shows.
Eurosonic Noorderslag will also continue the successful Buma Music Meets Tech programme covering the latest developments in the area of music and technology, where start-ups can present their innovations.
The keynote speaker at the main conference in Groningen, The Netherlands, will be Duncan Stutterheim, chief exec of Robert Sillerman’s SFX Europe.
Marty Diamond of U.S. agency Paradigm and Rob Challice from the UK’s Coda agency will discuss their personal histories in the business, likely concentrating on what caused their companies to merge.
The first acts to be named for the European Talent Exchange Programme (ETEP) showcases include Apes on Tapes, Carmen Villain, Carnival Kids, Get Your Gun, and Godblesscomputers. Eurosonic-Noorderslag is Jan.14-17.
