CONTROL Announces 15 Participants

The six-month CONTROL: The Business of Music Management program in Australia announced 15 successful applicants.

The five-stage program is designed to help managers from Australia and New Zealand grow their businesses and leadership skills. For the first time, New Zealand is taking part in the six-month program.

Cushla Aston of Aston Road, Scott Grafton of Grafiti Entertainment and Auckland’s GBB Agency and Ninakaye Taane-Tinorau of Big Idea Artist Management join 12 Australian music managers. The Australian contingent includes Jess Beston of Tiny Monster, Monique Rothstein of Positive Feedback, Jane Slingo of Young Strangers, Stefan Emslie of Youth Music Industries, Clara Iaccarino of MAKEbeLIVE Productions, Dave MacGregor of Macstra Music Management, Matty Woo of Matty Woo Management, Alastair Burns of Heartstop Music, Nick Lynagh of Habit Music, Josh Taylor Anderson of RED Entertainment), Daisy Brown of Bad Cop and Bel Skinner Red Rock Music.

CONTROL is run by Australian Music Industry Network, a collection of state associations. It is supported by Music Managers Forum New Zealand and Australia’s Association of Artist Managers and funded by the Australian Government and the NZ Music Commission. The first of two residential workshops is held near Sydney Nov. 23-26. The six music and business advisers include Canada’s Terry McBride New Zealand’s Paul McKessar (Brooke Fraser, The Naked and Famous) and Australia’s Correne Wilkie (The Cat Empire).
