Phil Collins’ ‘Little Dreams’ Keeps On Growing

Phil Collins’ very special December evening at the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater keeps on growing as singer/songwriter/orchestra director Gigi D’Allesio joins the lineup.

Featuring the former Genesis frontman/drummer performing a few songs, the annual gala “Dreaming On The Beach” scheduled for Dec. 6 will also include appearances by Richard Marx, Laura Pausini and Alejandra Guzman.

Talking about his Little Dreams Foundation in Miami Beach, Fla.

The evening will benefit the Little Dreams Foundation, the charity founded by Collins and his ex-wife Orianne Collins Mejjati.  The Foundation helps talented children from around the globe fulfill their artistic and athletic dreams by providing scholarships and matching students with teachers and coaches.

The event will mark the first time Collins has performed on stage in nearly four years and has spawned plenty of rumors about the artist planning a tour.  However, Collins issued a statement in September saying he has no plans for the foreseeable future.

“I will be performing three or four songs semi-acoustically, and maybe one more with my 13 year old son Nicolas on drums, but that’s all as I am not ready to return to the full concert stage at this time,” Collins stated.

So, what has occupied Collins’ time as of late?  That is aside from denying rumors about touring or preparing for his charity gig?

Speaking about some of the historical items he donated to the Alamo.

Perhaps he’s following his passion for the Alamo.  Collins recently donated a vast collection of artifacts, including a gun owned by Davy Crockett, to the Alamo.
