Noize Down Under: Taylor Swift, Neil Diamond, Demi Lovato

Taylor Swift adds an Australian leg to “The 1989 World Tour.” The announcement follows news that Demi Lovato has booked her first ever Aussie tour. Meanwhile, Neil Diamond has booked a few New Zealand shows to go with his Australian outing.

Taylor Swift has quite the schedule lined up for 2015 with more than 70 dates booked so far. The massive tour in support of her new album, 1989, begins with two nights in Tokyo May 5-6. After playing the debut Las Vegas edition of “Rock In Rio USA,” the North American portion of Swift’s tour kicks off May 20 in Bossier City, La.

The trek lands in Australia a little less than a year from now with a handful of gigs booked in late November and early December. The excursion gives Swift the distinction of being the first female solo artist to play stadiums on back-to-back Australian tours. The popstar last performed in Australia in summer 2013 as part of “The Red Tour.”
