Glastonbury Top UK Fest

Multi award-winning Glastonbury Festival chief Michael Eavis had a change of role when he presented a gong to Rob da Bank at the UK Festival Awards Dec. 1. 

Da Bank, a BBC radio presenter and founder of the award-winning Bestival, won the “outstanding contribution” award.

He’s also co-founder of the Association Of Independent Festivals – which now includes Isle Of Wight among its 50 members – and an outspoken critic  included

He’s also co-founder of the Association Of Independent Festivals – which now includes Isle Of Wight among its 50 members – and an outspoken critic  (best headline show – at London’s British Summer Time in Hyde Park), Camp Bestival (best family fest), Belgium’s Tomorrowland (best overseas festival), We Are FSTVL (best medium-sized fest) and The Zoo Project Festival (best small festival). The twinned V Festivals took the prize for having the best toilets.
