Eagles Sue Over Bootleg Footage
A man in New York faces a lawsuit from Don Henley and Glenn Frey for showing footage from Eagles concerts without the band’s permission.

The suit, filed in Brooklyn Federal court, contends William Shelley charged admission at various Long Island venues for patrons to view bootleg concert footage, according to the New York Daily News.
It also claims Shelley used the footage to “bolster his reputation as a purported music industry ‘insider’ with close connections and ties to many classic rock greats,” according to court documents.
He’s so far refused to stop showing the footage, despite several cease-and-desist letters, the paper noted. The suit seeks to seize Shelley’s stash of bootleg films.
