Bob Balsam Dies

Bob Balsam, 53, the former manager of the Miami Beach Convention Center, died Dec. 5 following a fight with liver cancer.

Balsam moved to Miami in 2007 to take on the GM position after working for Global Spectrum in Cincinnati.

During his tenure at the MBCC, he served on several local boards and leaves an enduring legacy in the community, his successor told the Miami Herald.

Balsam returend to Cincinatti in July.
